South Ossetian president orders punishment of parliamentary initiative group

South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity has condemned the
parliamentary initiative group and ordered Prosecutor General Taymuraz
Hugayev to resolve the incident in three days, RIA Novosti reports.

A group of the South Ossetian State Security Service and the Defense
Ministry expressed discontent in the parliament with the decision of
the Supreme Court. A conflict occurred between the group and MPs.

Eduard Kokoity said on June 13 that he will not run for the third
presidential term at the elections in November 2011. The referendum on
early elections proposed by the initiative group was turned down by
the Supreme Court on June 14.
