The Russian Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal
District, Alexander Khloponin, has proposed that Cossack villages be
administered by Cossacks. The topic was also discussed at the
presidential council for Cossacks in Pyatigorsk on June 15, Interfax
reports.
The envoy believes that the initiative will help preserve Cossack traditions.
