Organizer of failed terrorist attack in Moscow killed

Militant leader Shamil Payzullayev, who commanded the Izberbashskaya
terrorist group, was killed in an operation in Makhachkala on June 19.


He was responsible for sending suicide-bombers for the terrorist
attack in Moscow on New Year night, Yuga.ru reports.


The militant left a taxi and tried escaping when he spotted police
officers. He opened fire and was killed.


Two children, born in 1995 and 2003, were wounded.


The militant was on the federal wanted list for terrorism, banditry,
illegal arms trafficking and arms production.


His suicide-bombers were to organize a terrorist attack in Moscow on
December 31, 2010. One of them activated a bomb by accident at a hotel
on Golovachyova Street. She was the wife of militant leader
Ibragimhalil Davudov and a mother of three sons.


24-year-old Zeynab Suyunova was arrested for planning to organize an explosion.
Four militants have been detained so far. Five more are on the federal
wanted list.
