The mayor’s office of Grozny started high-scaled repairworks on the
water-supplying system of the city, presidential press-service of
Chechnya reported.
According to the mayor of grozny Muslim Khuchiyev, President Ramzan
Kadyrov ordered the works to start.
He reported that only 700 km out of 2000 km of water facility network in
the city was repaired. According to estimates, Grozny consumes 60 000
cubic m of water daily. Approximation say that there is necessity in
repairing the pipeline collecting of water supplying, draining and
storm-water sewer system.
The works also include overhaul of technological and electric equipment
of water pumping and sewer water pumping stations, reparations and build
150 km of storm-water sewer lines, water pipeline and draining.
“Grozny is already constructing sky-scrappers, large social, cultural
and sport complexes. Obviously, it will all be a shadow box without the
necessary communications. That is why the work must be complex, with
account of the capital’s development”, Khuchiyev noted.
