Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has clarified the
appointment of Mohammad Sharif Malikzade as the Deputy Foreign
Minister, Trend reports. The ministry is preoccupied with people
sabotaging it, Salehi said.
Supporters of Ayatollah Khamenei accuse some of Iranian President
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's company, such as the head of the Presidential
Administration Isfandiyar Rahim Mashai, of sabotage. They are believed
to be trying to remove Khamenei.
Some Iranian MPs have already approved the impeachment of Salehi after
the appointment of Malikzade as his deputy. Malikzade is suspected of
corruption and other violations.
