A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkish-Speaking
Countries (TURKPA), headed by Secretary General Ramil Gasanov, will
visit the Kazakh capital of Astana from June 27 to July 1. He will
attend the 38th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the
Organization of the Islamic Conference, Trend reports on Tuesday.
Foreign ministers from 56 states will attend the session. The TURKPA
secretary general will talk about the achievements of the
organization, cooperation with the Organisation of the Islamic
Conference (OIC) and the OIC's PA.
Gasanov will meet Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov and
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. The visit includes a meeting
with the chairman of the TURKPA Council and chairman of the Kazakh
Parliament, Ural Mukhamedzhanov. They will discuss the plans of
TURKPA, expansion of links with international organizations and
holding the first commissions of the organization.
