The Azerbaijani Parliament has concluded the 11th session of the
Committee for Cooperation with the European Union, 1news.az reports.
Valekh Aleskerov, co-chair of the committee and Vice-Speaker of
Parliament, said that the cooperation and partnership deal between the
EU and Azerbaijan was signed in 1996. It came into force in 1999.
The Committee for Cooperation with the EU was established in 2001. The
11th session discussed development of cooperation, socio-political
issues and Nagorno-Karabakh. The vice-speaker noted that the session
had been fruitful.
Aleskerov said that one session is not enough, meetings need to be more regular.
The other co-chair, Milan Tsabrnokh, also praised the work of the committee.
