Slovakia supports Georgia in its desire to join NATO, the Slovakian information agency SITA reports, citing Slovakian defense minister Lubomir Galko, RIA Novosti imforms.
The head of the defense ministry met the Georgian ambassador to Slovakia, Alexander Nalbandov.
Galko gave a high appraisal of the participation of Georgia in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan. Among non-NATO member-states, Georgia sent the most numerous contingent of military personnel to Afghanistan.
The minister stated Slovakia's readiness to expand cooperation with Georgia.
