Militant camp found in Dagestan

The police have found a militant camp in the area of a
counter-terrorist operation in the Kizlyar district of Dagestan,
Interfax reports, referring to a representative of the investigative
department of the republic.

The special operation in the Kizlyar district of the republic was
launched three days ago. The security forces came across a group of
militants in the woods in the morning of June 21. Several militants
were killed during the ensuing gunfight, according to preliminary

On the night of June 22, several gang members broke through the cordon
and escaped from the encirclement. During the shooting five security
officials were killed and 12 others injured. On June 23, two fighters
were killed.
