Telephone conversation between presidents of Iran and Turkmenistan takes place

In a telephone conversation, the head of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly
Berdimuhamedov, thanked his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,
for the invitation to visit Iran and to take part in an international
conference on combating terrorism, Iran.ru reports.

Both leaders exchanged views on the status and prospects of
Turkmen-Iranian cooperation and discussed a number of topical issues
of regional and international policies of mutual interest, the press
service of the Turkmen state reports. The two presidents spoke in
favor of continuing the practice of joint scientific and artistic
forums and of expanding the fruitful contacts between artists of
Turkmenistan and Iran.
