US and Armenian presidents have telephone conversation

US President Barack Obama has made a telephone call to Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan, News.am reports.


The US president underlined the importance of the trilateral meeting
of the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani presidents. He thanked
Sargsyan for the initiative in settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
and in the context of the Deauville summit.


Sargsyan thanked Obama for his support in the peace process within the
framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. The Armenian president noted that
the peoples of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh had always wanted a
peaceful and just settlement of the conflict.


The presidents also discussed bilateral cooperation.
