Iran and Azerbaijan to struggle against terror

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned against 'serious dangers' posed by terrorism and narcotics against humanity, reiterating the urgency of adopting measures to fully eradicate them, Press TV reports.

In a meeting with Azerbaijan's Minister of National Security Eldar Mahmudov, the Iranian leader urged the two countries to boost bilateral cooperation with the purpose of countering “common threats.”

President Ahmadinejad said Iran and Azerbaijan enjoy cordial and growing relations, adding, “Tehran and Baku have great political, cultural and economic potentialities which should be utilized to serve the interests of the two nations and stabilize regional peace and security.”

For his part, Mahmudov said Iran and Azerbaijan have positive and constructive cooperation in various fields, particularly in campaign against terrorism.
