Ingushetia will start construction of 4 factories this year, its
leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said, RIA Novosti reports.
This includes a brick factory, an asphalt factory, a dolomite powder
factory and a factory for non-ore material processing.
This will become an industrial basis for the republic and reduce the
need for federal support. The republic will have three mining
complexes for processing of sand and a glass factory.
The republic is supporting small businesses, such as dairies and abbatoirs.
Yevkurov mentioned that there is a project for the processing of fish
skins. Ahmed Shadiyev has developed a way to produce clothes, shoes
and other products from fish skin. It may become a brand of the
republic.
