Iran and Tajikistan have expressed the willingness to develop
military-technical cooperation, CA-News reports.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon visited Tehran on Saturday, where he
met his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. They discussed
bilateral cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the deal on completion of construction
of the second Sangtudinskaya dam, with an output of 220 MW. The
project is worth $220 million, $180 million of which were provided by
Iran.
They also discussed trade and economic cooperation, trilateral
cooperation with Afghanistan, the situation in the region and the
stability of Afghanistan.
Rahmon visited Tehran to attend the international counter-terrorism
conference on June 24-25.
