Russian Minister for Healthcare and Social Development Tatyana
Golikova has arrived in Dagestan today. She visited a traumatology
center and met Dagestani President Magomedsalam Magomedov, RIA
Dagestan reports.
The president noted that the old center was based on a school building
constructed in the 1930s. Construction of the new center required 300
million rubles from the local budget.
Tatyana Golikova said that they were realizing the road and transport
program with Dagestan last year. She expressed hope that 7.3 billion
rubles, 6 billion of which came from the federal budget, will allow
modernization of healthcare in Dagestan. Many Dagestani doctors became
candidates for the Doctors of the Year award.
The chief doctor of the center, Magomed Omarov, organized an excursion
of the center for the guest. He said that the staff have 95% of the
equipment they need. It has 88 beds. Each room holds 1 or 2 people.
The old center will be reconstructed.
