The Israeli Cabinet will not allow Freedom Flotilla 2 to enter the
Gaza Strip, RIA Novosti cites advisor to the Israeli PM Alex Selsky as
saying.
Israel will minimize contacts with passengers on the vessels.
The new Freedom Flotilla will have hundreds of activists from 40
states, including members of the European Parliament and 40
journalists. The vessels will head to Gaza on Tuesday.
Israeli services said that journalists on the vessels will be banned
from visiting Israel for 10 years.
The first Freedom Flotilla was attacked by the Israeli military in
late May 2010. It had 700 activists heading to the Gaza Strip, which
has been under a blockade since mid-2006. Dozens of Turkish human
rights activists died and many were injured in the attack.
