The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA)has
decided to split the Russian and Georgian national teams into separate
groups for World Football Cup 2014, RIA Novosti reports.
The initiative came from the Union of European Football Associations
(UEFA). The Armenian and Azerbaijani teams will also be separated.
Brazil will host the championship in 2014. Rio de Janeiro will host a
qualification round on July 30, 2011.
