Shevarnadze supports recognition of Abkhazia by Georgia

Former Georgian president Eduard Shevarnadze says he supports the idea of recognition of Abkhazia's independence by Georgia, expressed recently by Georgian political analyst Mamuki Areshidze, Our Abkhazia reports.

According to Shevarnadze, such idea is reasonable since Abkhazia will never become a Georgian region. Therefore it's necessary to establish normal relations with the country as an independent state, he argues.
