Deputy premier and envoy of the president of Russia in the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Khloponin gave an interview to the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper on the problems of the region.
Khloponin considers that the North Caucasus has unique conditions for production of ecologically pure products.
“Agricultural producing complex is very promising direction. The North Caucasus has unique conditions for growing grape. We should do our best to sale ecologically pure production under a brand of the North Caucasus in Russia and abroad,” he said.
As for tourism development, Khloponin stressed that this issue should be treated at the federal level.
He also believes that the state should use labour resources of the region for the development of the Russian economy.
