The government of Azerbaijan signed with the International Fund for Agriculture Development a credit agreement for $19.35 million to finance the Integrated Agricultural Development project, Trend reports.
The agreement was signed yesterday in the headquarters of the IFAD in Rome, as the minister of agriculture of Azerbaijan Ismyat Abasov paid a visit to Italy.
The loan is for financing the project on improving farmers’ revenues and providing product security of the country.
The project is aimed at helping 50 000 families in four northern and central regions of the country. The total sum of the project is $103.8 million.
