The base of the Naval Forces of Azerbaijan is being withdrawn from Baku Bay, military sources report.
The move connected with the fact that the territory where the military base is located at the moment belongs to National Flag Square, APA reports.
All buildings situated near the square are to be demolished. A set of ship-repairing ventures and residential facilities, including the military base, will be moved to the suburbs.
