The European Broadcasting Union and the Public Television have held
talks on the Eurovision-2012 song contest in Azerbaijan. The first
meeting was devoted to the 57th contest in Geneva at the EBU main
office.
The European organization demanded that Azerbaijani authorities
guarantee security for everyone at the contest. There will be no visa
problems. The semi-final of the contest will be held on May 22 and 24,
the final on May 26. The location for the contest in Baku will be
determined in August 2011.
Armenian paper Zhamanak said that Armenia will take part in the
contest in 2012. The question is whether Armenia will send a solo
singer or a group. The main candidate for the contest if System of a
down. Razmik Amyan is a candidate for solo singing at the contest.
This year Azerbaijan won the Eurovision-2011 contest, with performance
of the Eldar Gasymov and Nigyar Jamal duel.
