Parliamentary Assembly of BSEC meets in Kiev

Vladimir Litvin, Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament, President of
the BSEC, has opened the 44th session of the Bureau of the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Black Sea Economic
Cooperation (BSEC), RBC reports.


Litvin expressed hope for constructive work of the 37th meeting of the
BSEC PA. The meeting will be held in Kiev on June 30 - July 2. The
Permanent Committee of the Assemble will meet in Thursday.


The 44th session of the BSEC PA will be held on July 1-2. It will hold
talks on legislature of "greed" economy, genetically modified
products, environment, support of science progress, fulfillment of the
WHO, election of BSEC vice-presidents and heads of International
Secretariat of the Assembly.


Ukrainian Chairman of Parliament Vladimir Litvin will hand his power
in the organization to his Albanian counterpart Josephina Topalli.


The BSEC was founded on February 26, 1993. It consists of parliaments
of Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Armenia, Greece, Georgia, Moldova,
Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine. Egypt, Israel, Slovakia,
Germany, France and Belarus are observers in the organization.
