Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Ali Larijani is beginning an official visit to Azerbaijan today, Trend reports.
The purpose of the visit is to enhance Iranian-Azerbaijani inter-parliamentary cooperation. Larijani is on a visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov.
Larijani is scheduled to meet in Baku with Ogtay Asadov, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and other Azerbaijani officials.
As part of his visit Larijani will also visit the city of Ganja, as well as several historical monuments, including the Shah Abbas Mosque and the Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum.
Larijani’s visit to Azerbaijan had earlier been scheduled for February. However, due to his busy work schedule, the visit was
postponed till now.
