Iran is taking part in the Mediterranean and Middle East special group
of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. The session opened in La-Maddalena
in Italy on July 4, Trend reports.
The session will hold talks on the situation in the Mediterranean,
Middle East regions, states of the Gulf and NATO operations in the
region. The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Ali
Ahani, plans to make a speech.
The special group for the Mediterranean and Middle East was
established in 1996. It organizes meetings for MPs of NATO states, the
Middle East and North African regions to discuss cooperation in policy
and security.
