The Azeri plane of the Silk Way cargo airline company, which crashed last night in Afghanistan, was under contract to the forces of the international coalition (ISAF), Trend reports, citing ISAF representative Tim James.
Nine crew members were on board the IL-76 4K-AZ 55 cargo plane of the Azeri cargo airline company Silk Way.
According to the Air Traffic Service of Afghanistan's information, at 00:10 a.m. near Bagram airport the Silk Way plane lost ground communication and disappeared from radars.
As there was no information from the crew on an emergency situation on board, it seemed that the plane had crashed into some unknown object.
A special investigative group was established.
A representative of the Afghan national air line, Ariana, stated that the site of the crash has not yet been located. The policy and army are searching for it.
