New efforts on a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be taken in the near future, the head of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov stated.
“We stated that in Kazan the presidents affirmed the agreement of important issues, which will contribute to the achievement of a settlement treaty,” he said.
Lavrov said that President Medvedev, as a mediator, has finished analysis of the situation after the Kazan summit and will decide on the next step to be taken in the near future.
Lavrov considers that changing the negotiations’ format would be ineffective, Russia 24 reports.
