New government formed in Turkey

Turkish President Abdullah Gul has approved a new government, Trend reports.


Leader of the ruling Justice and Development Party (JDP) Prime
Minister Recep Tayyipt Erdogan has presented the list of Cabinet
members.


Erdogan's party received 50% of vote at the parliamentary polls on June 12.


Erdogan's party received 330 seats at the parliament, forming a
single-party government. Yet, JDP cannot adopt a new constitution
project or hold a referendum.


According to the Constitution, the government is to be formed within
45 days after the polls.
