Heads of Azerbaijani community organizations have met government
members, Trend reports.
Chairman of the State Committee for Communities Nazim Ibragimov,
Education Minister Misir Mardanov, Minister for Economic Development
Shakhin Mustafayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Religious
Structures Idayat Oruzhev, Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova and other
officials attended the meeting.
Ibragimov said that they gave speeches at the conference on July 5. An
independent meeting was organized for community and state officials.
Imbragimov said that the speech of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev
carries a program to improve work of communities.
Minister for Economic Development Shakhin Mustafayev said that
Azerbaijan fulfills its demands for energy security and is part of the
European energy security. 85% of Azerbaijani population has gas
supplies. The GDP increased 4-fold in the last decade, industry output
- 3-fold, unemployment dropped 5-fold.
Mustafayev says that attention needs to be paid to macroeconomic
stability, agriculture, oil production, transit potential.
Minister for Culture and Tourism Abdulfas Garayev urged community
organizations to preserve Azerbaijani culture.
