Director of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zoltan Somoji is
on a visit to Georgia, Trend reports.
Somoji met Georgian Economy Minister Vera Kobalia, chairman of the
Tourism Agency Maya Sidamonidze and Government Chairman of Adzharia
Levan Varshalomidze.
Georgia is a strategic partner of the UNWTO. Somoji wil discuss
improvement of tourism cooperation in the region. Special attention is
paid to tourism infrastructure, increase of tourists, arrival of new
transnational corporations and stimulation of tourism business.
Georgia will host the 54th meeting of the European regional commission
of the UNWTO and a regional tourism forum in 2012.
