The Culture Ministry of the Astrakhan Region, city and regional
administrations are marking Fisherman's Day, RIA Novosti reports.
The day is marked on the second Sunday of July, however celebrations
start today. The festival has a high status and will be held on July
8-15.
The program includes over 20 concerts and other events in Astrakhan Region.
Fisherman's Day was founded by the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on
October 1, 1980.
