Georgia says arrest of photographers unconnected to work

Four press photographers were arrested in Georgia. A spokeswoman for
the Georgian president says that their arrests had nothing to do with
their work, News Georgia reports.

The Georgian counter-espionage services arrested four photographers on
Tuesday. They include Zurab Kurtsikidze, a member of EPA, Irakly
Gedenidze, a photographer of the president's press service, Natiya
Gedenidze, his wife, and Georgy Abdaladze, a photographer working for
the Georgian Interior Ministry.

Mandzhgaladze said that they had been arrested for information leaks.
They are suspected of sending information to organizations acting for
a foreign state.
