Azerbaijani Transport Ministry is receiving a delegation from Belarus,
headed by Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikov. Belarus is planning to
open a carriage maintenance base, Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya
Mamedov said on Friday, BELTA reports.
The sides also discussed purchase of carriages for Azerbaijani railways.
Belarusian Minister for Transport and Communications Ivan Sherbo said
that the Gomel Maintenance Department may be involved in construction
of a maintenance center in Azerbaijan.
Sherbo said that Belarus is interested in transit and is successfully
realizing the China-Kazakhstan-Russia transport line. The next
direction is Azerbaijan, Iran and India.
