Armenian Prime Minister on visit to Rostov-on-Don

Armenia and Russia have registered significant progress in economic
and trade cooperation, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said in
Rostov-on-Don on Friday, News Armenia reports.

"Significant growth in trade and economic cooperation between Armenia
and Russia was registered after the 12th session of the Commission.
Trade turnover between the two countries in 2010 rose by more than 10%
and reached about $ 1billion," Sargsyan said at the 13th session of
the Armenian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic
Cooperation, the press service of the Armenian government reports.

Sargsyan stressed that exports of Armenian goods to the Russian market
grew by more than 40% in 2010 and by 27% in the first four months of
this year.

Prime Minister Sargsyan expressed confidence in the good opportunities
for deepening cooperation in various fields, such as industry and
tourism.
