The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group for the Nagorno-Karabakh peace
process expect Armenia to reply to the proposals of Russian President
Dmitry Medvedev on the process, Russian co-chair of the group Igor
Popov said in Yerevan at a meeting with the Armenian foreign minister
today, News Armenia reports.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov handed proposals on the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents,
Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, on July 8. The message consists of
the Russian president's letter and several formulations of the basic
principles.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister is in Moscow, where he will reply to
the proposals.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan told Russia that he will carefully
observe the proposals and prepare a reply.
