Georgia starts joint military training with US

Georgia has started two-day joint military training with the US,
called Agile Spirit. The Georgian Defense Ministry said that training
will be held at Vaziani, near Tbilisi, involving the 4th infantry
brigade of the ground forces and US marines, Georgia Online reports.


Over 350 US troops from Constanta in Romania and 450 from Georgia’s
Besermere will take part.


Agile Spirit is scheduled training for Georgian troops in Afghanistan,
US Lieutenant-Colonel Nelson S. Cardela said. He thanked Georgia for
its support in Afghanistan.
