Iran's Foreign Minister Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has rejected Kuwaiti media reports about Tehran's efforts to hold talks with Saudi officials, Iranian news agency Press TV reports.
“Whenever we make a decision with regards to the trip of our country's officials to Saudi Arabia, we will announce it through formal channels,” Mehmanparast said at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.
“Relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia could be helpful and effective. We believe strengthening ties and resolving misunderstandings will definitely help establishing peace and security in the region,” Press TV quoted Mehmanparast as saying.
