Alexander Khloponin, Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District and Vice-Premier, said that he is taking the investigation of the murder of Ibragim Yaganov, member of the Public Council of the NCFD, under personal control.
Members of the council and Khloponin made a public statement.
Yaganov, member of the Khase Movement, was beaten to death at his house on July 19. He died in hospital.
The statement urges the law-enforcers to carry out a scrupulous investigation and inform publicity about the results. Leader of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov was asked to take the process under control.
