The Baksan dam will receive its first equipment in December or Q1 of
2012, RusHydro reports.
The dam was attacked by terrorists on July 21, 2010. They killed two
police officers guarding the dam and set off five bombs equivalent to
1.5-3 kg of TNT. Three generators were damaged.
The dam will produce a maximum of 30 MW. The main work will be
concluded in November 2011.
RusHydro said that interim insurance of 358 million rubles covers only
part of the restoration expenses.
RusHydro is Russia's largest generating company, uniting 68 facilities
of renewable energy in Russia and abroad.
