The court in the Turkish city of Van has issued an order to arrest the former head of the Turkish General Staff, General Jashar Bejukanyt, Azerbaijani news agency 1news.az reports.
The court decided to issue an order to arrest the general after an investigation into the 2005 events in the Shemdinli District of the Turkish province of Hakkari, when Kurdish terrorists organized an attack on the local police department.
The investigation proved that the general did not take all the necessary measures to prevent the tragedy.
