Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will attend a conference on
nuclear disarmament in September, as part of the UN program in New
York City, Ambassador Miroslav Yenich, special representative of the
UN secretary general and head of the UN regional center, said.
The meeting will be chaired by Un Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the
ambassador said after a meeting with Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan
Kazykhanov, CA-News reports.
Nazarbayev and US President Barack Obama had a telephone conversation
on nuclear security. They talked about non-proliferation of nuclear
arms and the nuclear summit in Washington in April 2010.
