Checkpoint Verhnii Lars to be opened for trucks from June 1st

The Verhnii Lars checkpoint on the Russian-Georgian border will be
opened for heavy goods vehicles from June 1st, reports Georgia Online.
The statement of the Armenian Transport Ministry says the checkpoint,
which is the main transit point for transportation of goods from
Russia to Armenia, was closed due to weather conditions.
The crossing is currently open to passenger vehicles seating less than
30 and trucks with a total capacity of less than 10 tons. Pedestrian
crossing at the border checkpoint is not allowed.
