Dagestan celebrates Constitution Day on Tuesday. The republic's
capital, Makhachkala, earlier saw the awarding of Russian and
Dagestani state prizes. Dagestani leader Magomedsalam Magomedov says
that the day symbolizesthe common history and unity of the republic's
peoples, and their devotion to democratic values. Over 50 figures of
culture, science, medicine, education, industry, finances and other
spheres received awards.
Dagestan will see a special concert with performances by Eridan,
Laurit, Daniel Garunov, Hasbulat Rakhmanov, Telman and Marina Aliyeva.
A part of the "Charlie - great mage" epic will be performed, followed
by performance of the Russian Honoured Artist Tagir Kurachev, who will
sing Rasul Gamzatov's verses to the music of Murad Kazhlayev.
