Bushehr power plant to be opened in August

The Iranian nuclear power plant in Bushehr will be opened at the end of August, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

He also said that Tehran welcomes Russia's efforts to replace the threat and pressure approach towards the country's nuclear program with diplomatic solutions, Press TV reports.

“The point, however, in regard to the issue of our country's peaceful nuclear programs, is that we have taken big steps towards
confidence-building but we believe that confidence-building is a mutual move,” Ramin Mehmanparast said.
