American Armenians do not accept candidate for US ambassadorship to Turkey
The Armenian National Committee of America (ANKA) has launched a
campaign against the approval of US Senator Francis Rikardone for the
post of ambassador to Turkey, 1news.az reports, referring to the
official website of ANKA.

ANKA's states that the position of Francis Rikardone on a number of
questions related to the region's politics in problematic terms.

Senate members of the Committee on International Relations called for
an interview to be conducted with Rikardone regarding such issues as
the Armenian genocide, freedom of religion in Turkey and relations
between Ankara and Washington.
