Brazil, Turkey to participate in Iran Six talks

Brazil and Turkey are willing to participate in Iran Six (the five
permanent members of UN Security Council plus Germany) on the Iranian
nuclear issue, France Press reported on Tuesday, citing the foreign
policy advisor to the Brazilian president.

On Monday, the foreign ministers of Iran, Brazil and Turkey signed an
agreement on the exchange of Tehran's low-enriched (3.5%) uranium for
highly-enriched (to 20%) fuel for Tehran's science research reactor.

According to the document, the exchange will be carried out on the
territory of Turkey. Iran will send 1.2 tons of low-enriched uranium
to Turkey in exchange for 120 kg of nuclear fuel within the year.

The USA and other western countries accuse Iran of developing nuclear
arms. Tehran rejects the accusation, insisting that its nuclear
program is only aimed at providing civilian energy.

On Tuesday, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the US,
Russia and China had reached an agreement on a new UN Security Council
resolution on Iran.
