The Dagestani Ministry of Economy has registered a 109.4% growth rate
of industry in January-June 2011, compared with 96.4% in the same
period of 2011, RIA Dagestan reports.
The industrial rate in the first two months of 2011 was 87.8%,
compared with 96.7% in the same period of 2010.
Mining had a rate of 101.7% in January-June 2011, compared with 103%
in 2010, the processing industry 134.7% (84.6%), housing and utilities
59.5% (133.4%).
Machinery production increased 8.7-fold, transport and equipment by
65.1%, plastics by 46.1%, food and drinks 20.7%, th textile industry
by 15.7% and metal goods by 12.8%. Production increase was reached by
Dagdiesel, KEMZ, Kizlyaragrocomplex, Khlebzavod N2, Makhachkalinsky
meat factory and the wine factory, Derbent Cognac production.
