Russia needs to consolidate society on the idea of love for the Fatherland - Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with members of the Youth Forum "Seliger" on Monday, RIA Novosti reports.
On Monday, Prime Minister arrived at the forum and spoke in front of the participants of "Seliger-2011". The talk by Prime Minister gathered about 4 thousand children.
Putin noted that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia has experienced hard times: the old order destroyed the economy, social sphere, large numbers of people have been impoverished, "a bloodbath in the Caucasus" took place. However, the prime minister believes that these upheavals have made the country stronger.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin also thinks that critics of the "Seliger" are to be invited to participate in the Youth Forum in order to see everything with their proper eyes.
