Abkhazia will adopt the experience of Italy's South Tirol in
agricultural development, Apsnypress reports, citing Abkhazian
Minister of Agriculture Yuri Akaba, who was on a visit to the Italian
provinces of Bolzano-Bozen (South Tirol).
The agrarian sector is one of the leading spheres in the economy of
South Tirol's agrarian sector. At the same time, the Italian province
has the highest living standards in the world. The main line of work
is growing fruits: 10% of European apples come from South Tirol.
According to Akaba, the Italian experience in orchards, grape-growing
and animal husbandry will be useful in Abkhazia.
Consultants from Italy will arrive in Abkhazia in on June 19 to visit
all theregions of the republic. They plan to implement modern
technologies.
