Sports council to be established in North Caucasus

A sports council will be established in the North Caucasus, as part of a programme of sport development, Yuga.ru reports.

According to the initiator of the Caucasian Games project, Olympic champion and adviser of the head of Ingushetia, Israil Arsamakov, the problem of sports development is not only about the North Caucasus, but also about the whole Russia.

He noted that the Caucasian Games, which were held in October 2010 in Ingushetia and Karachai-Cherkessia, contributed to the revival of the sport and traditions of the Caucasus people.
